Because Everybody Is Entitled To My Opinion

"O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, . . . in wrath remember mercy" (Habakkuk 3:2).
"Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?" (Psalm 85:6)

Saudi Arabia: Islamic cleric rapes, tortures, kills daughter, pays fine - National Humanist | Examiner.com

A man brutally molests and murders his 5 year-old daughter. The gets a fine. Why? Because he is a Muslim. In Islam men cannot be executed for murdering their wives or children.
Fayhan al-Ghamdi, the victims father and a popular Islamic preacher who has made numerous television appearances promoting Islamconfessed to the heinous crime. Ghamdi told Saudi officials he used cablesand a cane on his five-year-old daughter, leaving her with multiple injuries, including a crushed skull, broken ribs and left arm, extensive bruising and burns. In addition, one of Lama’s fingernails had been torn off. Hospital staff reports the child’s rectum had been torn open and the abuser had attempted to burn it closed.
Reports indicate the father had doubted his five-year old daughter's virginity.
HE DOUBTED HE VIRGINITY AT 5 YEARS OLD?! What kind of whore mongering society defiles 5 year olds? Islam. And our President embraces Islam, more so than his professed Christianity. The media embraces and exalts Islam more than any other religion. How can anyone seriously claim that Islam is a "religion of peace"?

AlbertMohler.com – Rachel Weeping for Her Children — The Massacre in Connecticut

How should Christians think and pray in the aftermath of such a colossal crime? We Affirm the Sinfulness of Sin, and the Full Reality of Human Evil
First, we must recognize that this tragedy is just as evil, horrible, and ugly as it appears. Christianity does not deny the reality and power of evil, but instead calls evil by its necessary names — murder, massacre, killing, homicide, slaughter. The closer we look at this tragedy, the more it will appear unfathomable and more grotesque than the human imagination can take in.

Pray for the Families of Sandy Hook Elementary

I don't have the words right now to say how I feel. I am saddened greatly by this atrocious act. I can only offer prayers for the families who have lost children in this tragedy.

I guess mostly I feel numb. There is so much to take in. I am also dismayed and annoyed at the speed in which the media and anti-second amendment supporters have turned this into another opportunity to attack gun ownership.

First the media is quick to point out that this is the second worst school shooting in history. I find that a bit dehumanizing because it means someone took the time to reduce the tragedy to body counts and ranked it with other killings.

Second people are screaming gun control very loudly. The President in his remarks also alluded to some form of action:
“As a country we have been through this too many times,” Obama added. “We’re going to have to come together and take meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this, regardless of the politics.”
I'm glad he had the time to get that little dig in between tears. This is not an issue of Politics. The Second Amendment is settled and not subject to "political" action.

The fallacy here is that somehow people believe that this tragedy could have been prevented by simply passing a law at some point in the past that would have made this all illegal. Armed with that notion the liberals plan to control our lives by legislating proper behavior into existence. Guns are bad. Ban them all and no one will ever shoot up a school or a mall ever again. Their ignorance and arrogance grates on my nerves especially in this case. They dishonor the fallen and their families by pushing their agenda.

Hail to the Narcissist-in-Chief.

December 1, was the anniversary of Rosa Parks' famous bus ride in Montgomery Alabama. After being tired from a long day at work she refused to give up her seat to a white man. I will, for the sake of younger readers point out a fact you may find unbelievable in this day and age. In 1955 racial segregation was everywhere. The public bus Rosa Parks was riding had a "white" section and a "colored" section. When the white section was full it was fully expected that blacks give up their seats in the colored section to any white passenger that needed a seat. The bus driver ordered Rosa Parks to give up her seat to a white passenger. She did not give up her seat and was arrested for civil disobedience. That was only 57 years ago, well within the lifetimes of many people alive today. I mention that because many of my younger non-African American friends look at me strangely when I mention the racist attitudes of that time. They think it never happened. Anyway I mention this because for the anniversary of that famous bus ride, President Obama remembered the occasion with a photograph...of himself...on that bus. Parks ride and subsequent lawsuits and the Montgomery Bus Boycott spurred the civil rights movement which ultimately led to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (which btw the democrats opposed) and subsequent pieces of legislation. So in a sense I can see where a picture of BHO might seem appropriate; over half a century of civil rights and when now have a black President. But in true narcissistic fashion, the POTUS' gesture was an after thought. The photo in question was taken months ago as part of his re-election campaign.
Personally I find it insulting. BHO has done nothing for race relations except set it back. There has not been a more race baiting, divisive black leader in this nation's history. He certainly hasn''t acted in the spirit of Rosa Parks.

My Heart Breaks for Bhengazhi

I feel that one of the consequences of a second Obama term is that we may never know the truth about how four Americans including Ambassador Chris Stevens were left to die during an eight hour attack in Benghazi, Libya.

President Obama deflected all questions about Bengazi during the campaign. Mitt Romney did not press the issue which analysts are saying may have contributed to his defeat. The Non-Fox media hasn’t touched the story, a story some say is bigger than Watergate.

If you depend on Non-Fox media for your news then you may not be aware so here us the timeline according to FactCheck.org
Sept. 11: The Attack

2:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (8:30 p.m. Benghazi time): U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens steps outside the consulate to say goodbye to a Turkish diplomat. There are no protesters at this time. (“Everything is calm at 8:30,” a State Department official would later say at an Oct. 9 background briefing for reporters. “There’s nothing unusual. There has been nothing unusual during the day at all outside.”)

3 p.m.: Ambassador Stevens retires to his bedroom for the evening. (See Oct. 9 briefing.)

Approximately 3:40 p.m. A security agent at the Benghazi compound hears “loud noises” coming from the front gate and “gunfire and an explosion.” A senior State Department official at the Oct. 9 briefing says that “the camera on the main gate reveals a large number of people – a large number of men, armed men, flowing into the compound.”

About 4 p.m.: This is the approximate time of attack that was given to reporters at a Sept. 12 State Department background briefing. An administration official identified only as “senior administration official one” provides an official timeline of events at the consulate, but only from the time of the attack — not prior to the attack. The official says, “The compound where our office is in Benghazi began taking fire from unidentified Libyan extremists.” (Six of the next seven entries in this timeline — through 8:30 p.m. EDT — all come from the Sept. 12 briefing. The exception being the 6:07 p.m. entry, which comes from Reuters.)

About 4:15 p.m.: “The attackers gained access to the compound and began firing into the main building, setting it on fire. The Libyan guard force and our mission security personnel responded. At that time, there were three people inside the building: Ambassador Stevens, one of our regional security officers, and Information Management Officer Sean Smith.”

Between 4:15 p.m.-4:45 p.m.: Sean Smith is found dead.

About 4:45 p.m.: “U.S. security personnel assigned to the mission annex tried to regain the main building, but that group also took heavy fire and had to return to the mission annex.”

About 5:20 p.m.: “U.S. and Libyan security personnel … regain the main building and they were able to secure it.”

Around 6 p.m.: “The mission annex then came under fire itself at around 6 o’clock in the evening our time, and that continued for about two hours. It was during that time that two additional U.S. personnel were killed and two more were wounded during that ongoing attack.”

6:07 p.m.: The State Department’s Operations Center sends an email to the White House, Pentagon, FBI and other government agencies that said Ansar al-Sharia has claimed credit for the attack on its Facebook and Twitter accounts. (The existence of the email was not disclosed until Reuters reported it on Oct. 24.)

About 8:30 p.m.: “Libyan security forces were able to assist us in regaining control of the situation. At some point in all of this – and frankly, we do not know when – we believe that Ambassador Stevens got out of the building and was taken to a hospital in Benghazi. We do not have any information what his condition was at that time. His body was later returned to U.S. personnel at the Benghazi airport.”

About 10:00 p.m.: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton issues a statement confirming that one State official was killed in an attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi. Her statement, which MSNBC postedat 10:32 p.m., made reference to the anti-Muslim video.

Request for help from those under fire were denied three times. All sorts of excuses came from the White House. They said they didn’t have enough information even though they were watching the attack in real time. They maintained for two weeks that it wasn’t a terrorist attack, a claim they had to retract and Obama changed his story to say he called it a terror attack as early as Sept.12th However, At no time did Obama convene the Counterterrorism Security Group, (CSG) whose sole purpose is to muster anti-terrorist assets during a terror attack.

In an interview Obama said that he gave an order that night to use whatever resources were available to secure the consulate and the America lives there. That order was not followed. No help was sent. Niether has the White House produced evidence of that order.

So here we are after the election. There are no new developments in the story. I believe Obama will do whatever it takes to bury the truth. This has all the markings of an Epic Fail in the Oval Office and Barak is not going to let that mar his legacy building term. He’ll pick a fall guy and dump the blame on him, business as usual for Barak H. Obama.

What Does the Future Hold

Obama was gracious during his victory speech. He spoke to a bright future and fixing America’s problems. But will he keep his promise to reach across the aisle and heal the nation? In a word; No.

People are already harkening Obama’s second term to that of Bill Clinton where he made his famous move towards the center. Clinton was able to compromise with the Republicans to get things done. It is wishful thinking to believe Obama will do the same. After all why should he move? Why should he do anything any differently than he already has? Why should he start keeping promises now?

He won’t and here’s why; Today is November 7th. Politically we are in the exact same place we were on November 5th. Obama is President, the Dems have the Senate and the Republicans have the House. We have no budget and unemployment is still high. This is Obama’s America. We are where we are because of his policies and he did nothing to keep us from getting here. In fact he drove us here. He has no incentive to change his approach to governing this nation and his approach is “Tax and Spend”. I see Obama taking this, the last opportunity he will ever have, to ram his reckless socialist agenda down this nation’s throat.

So what does the future hold? More lies, more cover-ups, more executive orders, more attacks on the Constitution, more attacks on individual liberties, more fiscal irresponsibility, in short more of the same.

Another Four Years

Disappointment doesn’t even begin to adequately my feelings about yesterday’s election results. I would say I am disappointed in my fellow Americans but truthfully those who voted to retain Obama were low in my sight to begin with. I just didn’t realize there were so many of them.

Already the 20/20 hindsight is kicking in and everybody is pointing fingers here and there at this failed approach and that unsound tactic. You can look anywhere in conservative cyberspace and find ample commentary so I won’t dwell on it. Although I do want to focus on one point: polls.

Throughout the campaign we were told that according to the polls Obama was in deep trouble and Romney was either going to win by a narrow margin or by the same margin that Obama actually had. Why? They said that the polls could not play out the same way they did in 2008 and that in light of their more informed interpretation of poll data, Romney had it in the bag. Election night proved them wrong and lo and behold it played out exactly as the polls predicted. The response on Fox news? “Oh the polls were right??!!” Shock and awe. So essentially they had this data and they said “Look if we look at this differently our chances are much better. Let’s ignore the predicted outcome in favor of this better result and plan accordingly”. .Didn’t anybody bother to think that maybe they should have a contingency plan since this approach was similar to putting on rose colored glasses? The election played out almost exactly as it did in 2008 which turned out to be a big surprise to the Republicans. Even big thinkers like Karl Rove was way off in his predictions. It shouldn’t have come as a surprise. The answer was there all the time.

YouTube - Jesse Jackson Jr. Fix Unemployment by Changing Constitution So Every Kid Gets an iPod and a Laptop

Can you believe this? It would be hysterical if he weren't so serious! The nut truly does not fall far from the tree.

Let's see he wants it to be a constitutional right for everyone to have a good home. this will "create" construction jobs. Everyone one should have a constitutional right to Healthcare. This will "create" more doctors. And of course changing the constitution to give everyone the right to education giving every ghetto and barrio child an iPod and laptop will "create" teachers!

What he didn't say but should have was that we should change the constitution to guarantee everyone the right to vast wealth. Then magically we "create" money to pay for it all!

Chester Street: Once Saved, always saved

I've have been very lax of late with regards to blogging. For that I apologize. Thank God that others have not stopped. I was cruising the Blog Roll and saw that good ole Mark at Chester Street is still spreading the Truth and This particular Truth bears repeating.

Chester Street: Once Saved, always saved
After a very long and tiered conversation with someone who thinks they can lose their salvation, I will post this list [shamelessly stolen from Melvin's Essays] Link is Here.

Here is what must happen every time you sin and LOSE your salvation.

1. I have to lose my eternal life – which, or course, isn’t eternal if I can lose it.
2. I have to cease to be the new creation and become an old creation again.
3. I have to cease to be a child of God – He has to disown me.
4. I have to again become a child of wrath.
5. I have to cease to be a child of Light and become a child of darkness again.
6. I have to be removed from the body of Christ – un-baptized as it were.
7. I have to come alive again, outside of Christ.
8. I have to get unburied and un-united in my burial with Christ.
9. I have to take myself out of Jesus’ hand.
10. I have to take myself out of the Father’s hand.
11. I have to be transferred back to the kingdom of darkness.
12. I have to be unsealed for the day of redemption.
13. I have to some how come alive again to the power of sin.

...and of course, after I have repented, God does it all over again! Yeh, ok...
Thanks Mark! Strange though, I run into people who swear they can lose their salvation when they sin but they haven't lost theirs yet. Hmmm. You gotta love those perfect human beings.

Monday is NOT Presidents Day!

I am really sick and tired of the alleged PC crowd referring to the upcoming holiday as “President’s Day”.  It is NOT President’s Day, there is no such holiday.  Monday we will be celebrating Washington’s Birthday.

“But Dane, my calendar says President’s Day. Surely calendar makers know what day it is!” You’ll reply.

Apparently they don’t Many calendars list it as President’s Day.  Now for some background:  Richard Nixon’s executive order declared some holidays to be celebrated on Mondays regardless of when they fell. This was done in ‘68.  Washington’s Birthday was one of them. It is still called Washington’s Birthday according to the law books and was first celebrated in ‘71. The confusion arose when people stopped celebrating Lincoln’s birthday which was never an actual Federal holiday. Many states recognized and celebrated Lincoln’s birthday but stopped after 1969. I suppose some genius declared “Hey why not celebrate both birthdays on that Monday”.  And thus we get President’s Day.

As a stickler for detail and the truth I still call it Washington’s Birthday.
